Designing for Modern Parents: Updating Tinyhood's Email Marketing
Overview
As a designer at Tinyhood, I played a key role in updating the company's design assets to align with its new branding direction. One of the major projects I worked on was the redesign of Tinyhood's email templates. The following is a selection of the email designs I contributed to.
Problem
Tinyhood, a course service for new or expecting parents, needed to revamp its branding to appeal to modern parents and move away from an overly simplistic and juvenile image.
Solution
A rebranding strategy was implemented to reposition Tinyhood as a contemporary and sophisticated resource for new parents. This included updating the company's visual identity, messaging, and marketing materials to align with this new positioning.
Process
To begin the email redesign project, the design team at Tinyhood worked collaboratively in Figma to generate various iterations of potential design concepts. This included brainstorming sessions, sharing feedback and iterating on the designs. User research and testing were also conducted to ensure the designs were aligned with Tinyhood's target audience and their needs. After several rounds of revisions and iterations, the final email designs were chosen and implemented.
Feedback
After initial feedback on the welcome emails I was tasked with creating the redesign of two drip campaigns. The final designs were then implemented and sent out to the target audience, and their performance and engagement were measured.
Retrospective
Working on the Tinyhood email redesign project as part of a team was a valuable experience for me. I enjoyed the collaborative process of brainstorming and creating design concepts in Figma with my fellow designers. I also appreciated the opportunity to receive feedback and input from team members, which helped me to improve my designs and think more critically about design decisions. Additionally, being able to learn from my team members and share knowledge and skills was a great opportunity for me. Overall, it was a positive experience that allowed me to grow as a designer and develop my teamwork skills.
